Migrant mobility and value creation in hospitality labour

This study examines diverse forms of value that migrant workers create through their employment in hospitality. The paper draws on insights from valuation studies and research migrants' transnational resources to consider the experiences Kenyans who worked hospitality sector while abroad. introduces notion ‘indefinite capacities’ conceptualise amorphous nature skills, capabilities may be developed work. findings explore how is constructed negotiated within occupational, cultural psychological domains, examining why indefinite capacities are (de)valued specific moments, they (re)appraised wider context careers lives.
